Director of the Academy
What makes Rivera tennis Academy different from other academies and one of the most respected tennis programs in Texas?
The answer is that Rivera tennis is not a comercial business. The level of coaching the students receive, the personalized attention that comes with the smallest possible student-to-instructor ratio, and the nurturing atmosphere all give us the most in-depth, individualized tennis program available.
Many other academies use the names of their owner or sponsors just as a commercial way, in our academy it’s all the way around; our director/ owner Alfredo Rivera a formal ATP player, Davis cup player from Chile in 1984 wants to pass on to his students all his knowledge and experiences as a player . He’s directing, supervision and actively teaching on court in everyday basis.
He has also been fortunate to train, coach, mold some of the best juniors and professionals in the world.
Coaching is an art, and communication with individual psychology is the key.
That is why we believe that a smaller, more intense program with a heavy emphasis on the individual is how to develop successfully tennis players.
This program is only for players who are serious about tennis regardless of their age These players goals in tennis are a lot higher than the ones in the other programs.
They are looking to play college tennis, ITF, ATP or WTA.
Oriented toward players wishing to improve specific aspects of their tennis, involving the player in an intensive work program
Our After-School Program is a great opportunity for regular school hour students to benefit from our Academy. This provides players who are unable to commit to our double session program the best possible training to challenge and grow their game.
Besides a long and successful teaching experience at all levels, we have the ability to make players gain a passion to enjoy this game and make it as a sport of a lifetime.
